AUPresses members responded to the coronavirus pandemic in spring 2020 by gathering myriad resources for readers facing the disruption and challenges of stay-at-home orders and campus closures. The resulting UP Social Distancing Collaboration website was designed to offer relevant university press publications and projects to all seeking scientific and public health information, wanting to escape the news, and shifting to remote teaching and learning. As the pandemic and its disruptions stretched into the summer and beyond, this collection—comprising more than 360 reading list suggestions as well as open or free access resources from more than 85 member presses—continued to offer reliable information, academic support, and perhaps a bit of solace.
